Hong Kong Women's Qualify for Asian Games

The Hong Kong Women's has just returned from Bangkok, finishing 4th out of 5 participating teams. Hong Kong secured the qualification prior the tournament began as Pakistan and Sri Lanka has both pulled out of the tournament due to security concern. The team was forced to travel as Asian Hockey Federation has confirmed that if any team withdraws from the competition they will not be allowed to participate in the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games.

Hong Kong 1 - 0 Chinese Taipei Scorers: Michelle Hegglie

Hong Kong 0 - 2 Kazakhstan

Hong Kong narrowly missed the final playoff with the same goal difference but less goal scored.

3rd /4th Playoff - Hong Kong 0 - 1 Thailand

5th - Singapore

Yip Wai Ting was awarded Goalkeeper of the tournament.
