Hong Kong Men's Squad Announced

The Hong Kong Hockey Association has announced the 16-man squad for the Asian Games Qualifier in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The squad will be leaving tomorrow evening with the tournament beginning on the 7th. After various changes, the tournament will now feature Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand as well as Hong Kong and be based on a round robin format. The top 6 finishing teams will qualify and join Asia's top 6 (Korea, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, India & Japan) in the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games from 12th to 27th November later this year. The qualifying tournament will be the 1st tournament for many of Hong Kong Players including uncapped Douglas Corbel (Ex France U21) having finally switched allegiance to play for Hong Kong. Khalid Hussain, Noman Mohamed and Kelson Wong have recently received their first cap for Hong Kong at the Macau Interport. We wish the Hong Kong team with 8 of our sponsored players all the best
