American Express Easter 6's

The 1st American Express Easter 6's has just concluded. The tournament featured 24 teams, with 14 men's and 10 women's teams.

Kowloon Cricket Club featuring several Hong Kong international has won the cup by beating Kangwon National University A Team 6:3 in the final. Both teams progressed by beating pre-tournament favourites ASI - Samurai (featuring Ashgar Ali and Olympic Gold Medalist Jaap-Derk Buma) and Kangwon National University B Team respectively.

The plate competition was won by Khalsa Sports Club, they beat Shaheen in the final and the bowl competition was won by The Flying Hoppers from Switzerland after strong resilience from the combative Owls.

The new format of the competition has changed from a mixed 9 a-side full pitch tournament to a 6 a-side half-pitch tournament. Various changes has been adopted with field goals counting as 2 and penalty corner goals counting as 1, there are no long corners and side boards has been placed running down the sideline thus allowing the game to be much faster..
